Review Witch Hunter Robin Written by Warpshadow rating Very Good

There is a new show in town everybody is talking about especially since it has been shown on cartoon network. It is a slick, stylish show made in the new Sunrise style with a gothic twist to it. But the question is, is the show any good? I would say so, especially in the second half of the series.

The world is just like the one we know except that there are people with powers called witches. To combat the problem that they present a shadowy organization called Solomon hunts them down. The Japanese branch of Solomon does things a bit differently than most of Solomon since they capture witches instead of killing them and they use a substance called Orbo which deflects magical powers. A new recruit is coming to the Japanese branch. Her name is Robin and she has the power to set things on fire.

Witch Hunter Robin starts is a very gothic and well animated show. Unfortuneately the show starts off as a "monster of the week" type of show. When it looks like the show is going down in a blaze of stylish mediocrity things pick up. Starting in Episode 12 story starts to get more interesting as the show begins to probe the mysteries of what the witches actually are and the secrets of Solomon. Then everything gets interesting and the episodes flow together. If you are at all a fan of the dark and mysterious this show is a must see.
