Anime Review: Hare + Guu

Review Hare + Guu aka Jungle wa Itsumo Hale nochi Guu

In the jungle there is a boy named Hale who lives with his drunken and irresponsible mother Weda. One day Weda brings home a cute girl named Guu to live with them. The problem is that the next day Guu isn't as cute anymore and acts weird. While it almost impossible to fully explain Guu's weirdness, she ends up eating Hale where he meets two other people that Guu has eaten and that is only the first episode. Unfortunately Hale is the type to enjoy order and has problems dealing with stress.

This show is perhaps one of the craziest comedies I have ever seen. Even when there is dramatic or scary moments in the show it never gets in the way of the comedy. The characters play off of each other very well and generally are very funny. No matter how you look it this show is a barrel of laughs.

The animation for Jungle wa Itsumo Hale nochi Guu is about average. It's not worth watching simply for the visuals but it doesn't detract from the general viewing experience.

Jungle wa Itsumo Hale nochi Guu is currently only available through fansubs. This show can summed up by the word funny. It is a very good comedy and I would recommend it to anybody. I give Jungle wa Itsumo Hale nochi Guu a rating of very good.
