Anime Review: Elf Princess Rane

A one shot Oav that I actually like? Now that is something that doesn't happen everyday. This is mainly do to the fact that this one actually does the comedy right.

Go Tarakata is a treasure hunter of sorts. He is just a teenager so the only treasure he can hunt is in his hometown. One day while fleeing a temple priestess Go falls off a large building. After stopping his fall a small naked elf appears before him. Go is convinced that this is she is the key to finding a fabulous treasure. The problem though is that most of the time she can only speak gibberish. There is a lot more to this show but it would take far to long to explain and it was most just zany stuff anyway.

Let me start off by saying that this show is very funny in a crazy sort of way. The humor is fast paced and the jokes keep on coming. The plot is all over the place and clearly looks as though it is subservient to the comedy aspect of the show. One word of warning, don't try to make too much sense out of this one. There is only two episodes to Elf Princess Rane. It looked like there could have been more but the show was dropped, which I feel is sort of a shame. Anyway out of all the pointless Oavs I have seen over the years this is one of the better ones and one of the few I would recommend.
