The idea of a movie about a talking dog is not something I would normally look forward to. So only when it is done very well will it be something that I will enjoy. Junkers come here is done very well.

Hiromi is a young girl who because her parents work a lot lives with her housekeeper and tutor. She also lives with her pet dog Junkers. Junkers is a very special dog because he can speak. This is very good for Hiromi because she needs someone to talk to during the crisis that she is about to face. Her parents are about to file for a divorce and being only in elementary school she has problems dealing with it.

Junkers come here is a nice family movie. The idea of Junkers being a talking dog is handled very well and not for the cheap laughs that most talking dog movies go for. The movie overall has a subdued quality to it relying more on quality characters than anything else. The most noticeable of these would be Junkers who has to be my new favorite when it comes on animated dogs. Everything from the breed of dog to his personality makes me want to own a dog like him. The animation is well done and has a down to earth feel rather than going for flash. This is a good movie, especially for the kids.
