Anime Review: Infinite Ryvius
Review Infinite Ryvius Written by Warpshadow Rating very good/ excellent
Based on the amount of sites dedicated to it on the next I can honestly say Infinite Ryvius is underappreciated. Rarely are shows this good and I suggest you see this one.
In the future a giant solar flare created a nebula known as the sea of Geduld. The story begins eighty years later on a training satellite called the Liebe Delta. During a vacation the station was scheduled to take a dive into the Geduld. Due to intervention by terrorists the station starts sinking faster than normal and it could be destroyed. The students aboard the station frantically scramble for safety and eventually come across a spaceship hidden within the station. With no adults left alive the students will have to fend for themselves while they wait to be rescued.
With it's complex approach to character development Infinite Ryvius is a great show. The show's ability to weave a large cast of characters together and give a lot of depth to them is something I have rarely seen in anime. The plot centers around how the various characters act towards one another with the occasional outside influence to shake things up. The artwork is crisp with designs by Hisashi Hirai (Gundam Seed). The only sizable fault I can find with the show is the last episode and even then it wasn't that bad. As you can probably tell I recommend this show very much.
