Anime Review: Kannazuki no Miko
Review Kannazuki no Miko Written by Warpshadow Rating good
There is a lot of anime shows made recently and for a show to get noticed it needs some special hook. Kannazuki no Miko has hook to spare but still manages to be a good show once you get past the flash.
Himeko Kurusugawa is a fairly normal girl. The one extraordinary thing about her is that she is friends with Chikane. Chikane is a beatiful and smart girl who is the most popular in the school. They also know a boy called Souma who is friends with them both. On one day which happens to be Himeko's sixteenth birthday lunar eclipse occurs and a giant monster attacks. All of this is called by the evil Orochi. The existence of Orochi and the fight against him is a destiny that all three of them are entangled in.
Despite all of the bells and whistles (miko, giant robots) attached to the series, Kannazuki no Miko is a good show. There is a lot melodrama in the show, especially between Himeko and Chikane, so don't look at this and think it is and action show more than anything else. I felt that there was some untapped angles in the show and that if it had a few more episodes it could have been better. Even so watching this show was fun. While not a great show if anything about this show looks interesting to you then by all means watch it.
