Review Samurai X Reflection Written by Warpshadow aka Ruroni Kenshin - Meiji Kenkaku Romantan Seisohen Rating good

All shows no matter how good come to an end. Sometimes they end at a good time and sometimes they linger on after they have lost their impetus. The final Samurai X Oav is one of the later.

For all of his strength and skill with the sword Kenshin Himura is still just a mortal man, and like any mortal man one day he must die. As a man who has committed many crimes in the past Kenshin spends his life in atonement, even as this slowly costs him his life. There is one person who shares Kenshin's suffering as if it were her own and it is Kaoru. As Kenshin goes away on his last trip she remember the various events that brought them closer together.

Reflection is the final installment of the Samurai X (Ruroni Kenshin) franchise, and honestly it looks like it ran out of steam. Despite the improved animation the majority of the Oav is nothing more than a recap of the series from Kaoru's viewpoint. The fact that the Jinchu arc (the part of the series that was not animated) is included can be a bit confusing to those who know the show only through the anime. On the plus side I felt that the relationship between Kenshin and Kaoru is played out quite nicely. I would suggest that you see this only if you either rent it or buy it bundled with the first Oav, which I highly recommend.
