Review Lady Death Written by Warpshadow Rating fair/ good

It looks like all the videos I bought from ADV are starting to pay off since they are producing their own movies now. While it isn't that great it isn't total crap either and may be more enjoyable to people that have read the Lady Death Comics than me. After all most anime is some comic book (manga) animated.

In the middle ages there lived a girl named hope. She had one big problem, namely that her father Mathias was none other than Lucifer. When the local peasants revolt against his rule he bolts and hope is captured and burned as a witch. At the moment of death she calls out to the dark forces and is carried to hell. As hope soon learns hell is not all it's cracked up to be and is left for dead by her father. Now the only thing she can do is gain revenge as Lady Death.

As the Lady Death movie is only slightly longer than an hour and much of the movie is used to explain Lady Death's back story there isn't much to this movie. While it isn't deep by stretch of the imagination at least it moves quickly. The animation is fairly decent and the style differs from most anime. The main attraction is the gothic imagery and gore, if you like these then you probably will enjoy the movie. Otherwise I suggest you look elsewhere. Either way I suggest this as a rental at most.
