Review Legend of Himiko AKA Himiko Den Written by Warpshadow Rating fair/ good

I usually put some witty comment that some way relates to the show in question in the first paragraph of my reviews. After thinking a while I realized that not only couldn't I come up with something for Legend of Himiko the show was so unremarkable that It probably didn't deserve one.

The kingdom of Yamatai is in a bind. When it was in the middle of selecting a new queen a foreign country invaded. This is worse than any normal invasion for the invading forces also disrupted the Bokka, the sacred fire of Yamatai, and generally upset the cosmic balance. While in the normal world Himiko lives with her father who is an archeologist. He isn't her real father since he found her on the steps to a site he was working on when she was a baby. One day she and her friend Kutani get transported to Yamatai in a flash of light.

Legend of Himiko is a short fantasy anime show based off of a video game. My overall opinion of the show is that while it wasn't really bad there just wasn't anything good in the show. The sports a large cast and doesn't give enough time to make any of the characters (with the possible exception of Fujina) interesting. It feels almost like a dating sim (sans the romance) with all of the girls present in the show. The average or even above average fan just doesn't have enough time and money to use on this show.
