Review King of Bandit Jing Written by Warpshadow Rating good

Ever since Leblanc's Lupin novels have been adapted into anime the gentleman thief has been a staple of anime. While King of Bandit Jing doesn't really add much to the formula other than a wacky fantasy world it isn't that bad either.

Around the world people with valuable object fear one thing more than anything else. They fear the greatest of all thieves, the bandit king. A young man named Jing wanders the world with his lecherous companion bird called Kir. Since Jing is a innocuous looking boy no one would ever suspect that he is in fact the Bandit king.

King of Bandit Jing is an entertaining but an ultimately a fluff show. The show is done with bright colors and the show is littered with bizarre characters. King of Bandit Jing is fast paced as it has it's fair share of action with a bit of comedy interspersed. The plot consists of Jing and Kir strolling into a town, Find a pretty lady, and then solve said pretty lady's problem while stealing the treasure of the day. Sometimes this takes more than one episode to accomplish but that is as far a the plot goes. I recommend this show for rental as it is light entertainment but something that can get old fast.
