Anime Review: Chrono Crusade

Watching as much anime as I do you know that there is a lot of action shows. With an unusual setting, good characters and some good action Chrono Crusade is one of the better ones.

The 1920's were a time of wealth and ambition, the prefect breeding ground for demons. A group known as the Magdeline order is tasked with destroying them. Rosette Christopher is a sister in this order. She isn't any normal sister since she has a devil named Chrono helping her complete her missions. Chrono isn't any normal devil either, which is obvious since he is fighting on the side of the humans. Both of them are searching for Rosette's little brother Joshua who went missing years ago.

An odd period piece (despite supernatural elements) adventure story, Chrono Crusade is really fun to watch. The main characters are strong including one of the better female heroines I have seen. I also find it to be a good thing that most of the character development doesn't center around Rosette and Chrono making eyes at each other. While the first half of the show is a bit show but it picks up as the episodes progress. While I don't want to give anything away the ending of the show is not like most show's endings and I appreciate something different. Overall I'd say that Chrono Crusade was really fun to watch and I would recommend it.
