Fans of Yuri have been wanting some sort of sequel to Kannaduki no Miko for some time. After seeing what the spin off looks like I suggest you find something else to want a sequel of.

Kuu Shiratori was a who had a dream of a prince, the only bright spot in her empty life. One day though a dashing man named Kyoshiro appears and Kuu believes she has found the prince she has been waiting for. Later that day Kuu sees Kyoshiro kissing a beautiful woman. Kyoshiro and woman (Setsuna) deny that there is anything between them and the kiss was just to replenish energy. There may be some truth to that statement when the school is attacked and Setsuna materializes a metal giant to fight off the attackers.

Perhaps the biggest factor in whether a romantic story the characters can attain the viewer's empathy. by that metric Kyoshiro to Towa no Sora isn't that good of a show largely due to Kuu's personality and how she is a prisoner of the story rather than an actor in it. There is a fairly neat twist to mecha fighting in this show but it isn't nearly enough to hold the show together. Of all the positive comments I have heard about the show most of them center around the two secondary characters Himeko and Kaon who are basically reprisals of the main characters in Kannaduki no Miko. Overall I found this to be a rather disappointing show and it is something that I don't recommend.
