Anime Review: Kiddy Grade
Review Kiddy GradeWritten by WarpshadowRating fair/ good
I thought I waited a bit too long to finally watch Kiddy Grade but after watching it I found out that I could have probably held off on viewing this show for even longer.
Few things are as important to maintaining interplanetary wellbeing as having a well functioning economy. The GOTT exists to settle disputes and disturbances that would interfere with the flow of trade and uses it’s greatest asset; the super powered ES agents to handle it’s toughest cases. Éclair and Lumiere are two members of this elite group who operate together. While the most daring and dangerous of criminals may pose a threat to the pair perhaps their biggest problems may come from those that they are supposed to trust.
Kiddy Grade is pretty much like most two part action shows that I have seen over the years. In the first part or half the main characters cavort about the show saving the world every episode. The second part when the real plot arrives is usually the part I enjoy however this isn’t really the case with this show. While it is my policy with reviews not to go into detail I can safely say the main reason behind this Is that the show’s writers push the deus ex machina button a few too many times for it to be believable even in a science fiction superhero show. In the end Kiddy Grade comes off as being too cheap for my tastes although I figure some people will enjoy it as brainless entertainment.
