Anime Review: Full Metal Panic Second Raid
Review Full Metal Panic Second RaidWritten by WarpshadowRating very good
One of the hardest types of reviews that I do is sequels when the overall quality of the show doesn’t take a major dip in quality. Full Metal Panic Panic Second Raid is one such review.
Since Sousuke Sagara is still a soldier and since Mithril is still dedicated to protecting the peace of the earth the action continues beyond the events of the first season of Full Metal Panic. It has also been six months since Sousuke began his double life acting as a high school student protecting Kaname Chidori while he isn’t on some mission in another country. The big question though is how long can he keep up with his juggling act when push comes to shove.
Full Metal Panic Second Raid is the latest installment in it’s franchise and is a return to the series’ roots. Balancing mecha action with humor instead of going full tilt comedy like Fumofu did. The story is one fairly tight arc with little if any deviating from it. This season is based on one of the novels that original season of anime was based on so any fears of this show jumping the shark are unfounded. To sum it all up Second Raid is more Full Metal Panic, have at it.
