Anime Review: Fate Stay Night
Review Fate Stay NightWritten by WarpshadowRating very good
An intersting mix of genres Fate Stay Night is a fun and exciting show to watch and something that I really recommend watching.
Shiro Emiya always longed to be a hero of justice like his father. However as a normal young man with only minimal magical skills he had no way of making that dream a reality. One evening after cleaning up the archery club room he found himself caught in a battle between supernatural fighters. Being a normal man he could do little but be hunted down when discovered. A friend who is a wizard takes pity on him and causes him to unwittingly summon a fighter of his own, an armored woman named Saber.
I feel that stating this show source material is a bit of a disservice as unlike most visual novel adaptations Fate Stay Night is more of an action show than your average guy with a bunch of girls show. This doesn’t mean that there isn’t any romance, it is just one facet of the show rather than it’s entire focus. Shiro is a bit immature although his faults are a bit different than the usual hero of his type being someone willing to protect a woman far more powerful than him as opposed to the usual waffle of a character. Fortunately he like many of the characters in this show evolve not only in power level but in personality so he isn’t as bad at the end. Overall I found Fate Stay Night to be one of the better shows I have seen this year and honestly fun to watch.
