I am usually not the kind of person to really jump on the eighties and nineties Oav bandwagon but this title is a bit better than the usual one that came out of that era.

In the far future space pirates are a constanst problem and the DSP is tasked with handling them. Latell and Apulo are a pair of Detectives with the DSP who also have a problem with causing far too much collateral damage in the course of their missions. This has resulted in the pair being fired. Latell follows Apullo just to make sure that he doesn’t become a pirate himself. A job lead on Titan causes the pair to run afoul of a pirate plot involving the CAT computer system. However what can one man and one gluttonous robotic cat do against a system wide crime syndicate?

When anime was just starting out in America there were several Oavs that have become classics in the minds of many fans. Although by quirk of business decisions this Oav was never licensed it could have easily been a part of that section of anime. This is a science fiction action show with a good deal of comedy thrown in being in the shape of two leads bickering a lot and Apullo being obnoxious (although not necessarily to the viewers) and greedy. The comedy as well as the other parts of the Oav is pulled of rather smoothly and if you are an older fan looking for another shot of the old stuff The Enemy’s the Pirates may be the show for you.
