Anime Review: Jyu Oh Sei

If you are looking for a good faced paced science fiction action show then Jyu Oh Sei will not disappoint.

Thor Clyne was just another boy living a normal life in the colonies of the Balkan system. One day that life was turned completely upside down when he came home to find his parents murdered. The next thing he knew Thor and his twin brother Rai were stuffed into a drop ship headed for planet Kimera. Kimerea was a world which was hostile beyond imagination as giant man eating plants menaced people by day and bitter cold haunted the night. As he slowly learns the ways of the planet Thor learns the only way off the planet. It means becoming the Beast King, the strongest fighter on a planet where only the strong survive.

Jyu Oh Sei is a relatively short science fiction adventure show. Even though there are more than plenty of show in this genre out there this show is fresh enough to make it worth watching even to somewhat jaded viewers. A big reason for this is that while the action scenes are plentiful and fast paced they aren’t the drawn out affairs they can be especially in some shonen anime. The hallmark of this show is a tight plot that is both character driven and merciless to the extreme. The more aesthetic parts of the show are more than up to snuff as the show both looks crisp and has a good soundtrack. If you are open to an anime show with a different and punchy flow to it’s plot then I would recommend Jyu Oh Sei to you.
