Anime Review: Kite Liberator
Review Kite LiberatorWritten by WarpshadowRating fair/ good
This movie is almost a decent action movie even if did go south at the end and could have used some extra time to finish up. It could be an okay rental but that at most.
Years after the dangerous assassin Sawa wreaked havoc among the underworld there is a new person for the criminals of the city to fear. A killer known as Angel of Death has conducted a string of hits each time leaving her victims with a pile of white feathers. Nobody would guess that this dangerous woman is actually Monaka, a somewhat nerdy high school student who also works as a part time waitress. However little does she know that she is about to take one mission unlike any that she could ever dream of.
Kite Liberator is an action movie with what looks like two major flaws. The first is somewhat minor as this movie is a sequel that has so little connection to the first movie that calling it a Kite movie is a bit unnecessary. Secondly and more importantly this is an hour long movie with more plot on it's plate than can comfortably be dealt with in an hour given the movie's somewhat slow buildup. Even more the plot about the escaped space monster makes it look like another movie wandered into this one in the last fifteen minutes. Still this is a decent movie action wise with slick fight scenes and nice animation. It makes for a decent rental but don't expect too much from this one.
